Bird News Sunday 25th May 2025

The Red-necked Phalarope, 2 male Garganey and 1st year Little Gull are all at Belfast Lough RSPB WoW reserve this morning. (Garry Armstrong). The Red-necked Phalarope has been looked for but not seen since 6.30 this morning. The 2 male Garganey and 2 2nd calendar year Little Gulls were still present this evening but there was no sign of the Red-necked Phalarope. (Aaron Long).

An Osprey was over Kinnegoe Bay at Oxford Island before heading north. (Garry Armstrong).

The Great White Egret is still near the hide at the Quoile. (David Stirling).

A Mediterranean Gull and a Kittiwake were at Glynn in Larne Lough. (Aaron Long).

The Pectoral Sandpiper was seen again at Lough Beg this evening, there was no sign of the Red-necked Phalarope. (David Steele).
