Bird News Saturday 11th October 2025

A Cettis Warbler was ringed on the RSPB Harbour Meadows Reserve this morning (Jim McNair / Stuart Cossey / Jasmijn Hofman)

One of the Harlequin Ducks was seen this morning at 9am at this location in north Donegal: https://maps.app.goo.gl/bMD2FpJM7DmYcowk6?g_st=ipc (Jim Dowdall / Tom Shevlin)  The bird continued to move west round Bloody Foreland mid morning.

Two Great White Egret were off Croghan Hide, Oxford Island (Garry Armstrong)

A Little Stint was at Myroe (Mark McCullough)

Two White-rumped Sandpipers were in the drainage ditch at Myroe. A Wood Sandpiper was at the Ellington Embankment along with 5 Pink-feet (Dean Jones)

A drake Lesser Scaup was at Portmore Lough (Garry Armstrong)
