One was at Slievenacloy NR, Co. Antrim this afternoon. "It was seen for 20 seconds on hawthorn before doing a disappearing act. It flew behind bushes and the observer lost it". The observer is experienced in this species.
The exact location was near the top of the hill but NE of the old farmhouse along a scrappy hawthorn hedge east of the heath area. The place is a complete maze of wire fences and hawthorn bushes as far as the eye can see. The finder spent about 1 hour trying to find it again, but without success (Dermot Hughes)
