Bird News Saturday 4th February

The 1st winter Thayer's type gull was on Enniskillen tip along with 4 Iceland Gulls and 2 Glaucous Gulls (Brad Robson/Ralph Sheppard)
A nordic Jackdaw and 3 Twite were at Glenarm. A Carrion crow and 2 hybrids, at Ballygally. An adult Mediterranean Gull, Drains Bay. A 2nd winter Iceland Gull and a Lesser Black Backed Gull at Glynn. A Dark Bellied Brent was at Church  Bay Co Antrim. (Neal Warnock)
Circa 2000 Scaup were at Ballyronan Lough Neagh (W Farrelly)
4 Ruddy Duck and 95 Scaup were at Oxford Island. (Ed O'Hara).
10 Crossbill were at Crocknagrally, Mullaphad near Fivemiletown this afternoon. (Colin Bell).
4 White Fronted Geese, possibly of the Russian form Albifrons, were south of Anne's Point, Strangford Lough. A Red Kite with a white right wing tag was at Herring Bay. (Richard Weyl).
