Snowy Owl
Continuing the fantastic run of birds in NI, a Snowy Owl has been photographed in recent days at Altikeeragh Nature Reserve in Londonderry (between Castlerock and Binevenagh near Limavady) at grid reference C729322 - but appears to have moved on. However it is definitely worthwhile looking for the bird. This is possibly the "large white owl" reported to RSPB recently at Castlerock. It is 7 years since the last bird which was at Longfield Point. (P Dennison, c/o Nick Moran).
