This photo of a Pectoral Sandpiper was not the one at the Bann Estuary to-day but of the one on Tory Island Co. Donegal yesterday, from the photograph you can see clearly how it acquired it's name. There has been a few over the last week so keep an eye out for this distinctive American wader.
