Bird News Tuesday 8th October

Rathlin Island today had 24 Barnacle Geese, 2 Lapland Bunting, 2 Snow Bunting, 3 Bonxies & an Arctic Skua (Rathlin Island)

The Crane was still at the Roe Estuary this morning (Birdguides)

4 Whooper Swans flew over Carnfunnock Country Park this afternoon (Adam McClure)

2 Mediterranean Gull (adult and first-winter) were at Greenisland Sea Park (Gerard McGeehan)

Single Chiffchaffs were singing at Belfast Castle Estate and at Carr's Glen (Larry Toal)

A first-winter Mediterranean Gull was at Lurgan Park Lake, Co. Armagh (David Knight)

Two dippers and a Kingfisher were in Solitude Park, Banbridge, this morning (Suzzane Belshaw)

The Rose-coloured Starling and an Iceland Gull were on Tory Island today.

Unusually, a juvenile Gannet was near Devenìsh Island, Lower Lough Erne, Co Fermanagh (Fionnbarr Cross / Peter Taylor)

Yesterday the Black Brant was seen again at Kinnegar shore (Andy Elliott)
