Bird News Saturday 27th March

Two pairs of Garganey were at Lough Shark this morning, Co. Armagh. (Joe Devlin).

The Black Redstart was still at Killard. The 1st winter Glaucous Gull was in Ardglass. 

The red head Goosander was still at Begney Lough outside Dromara. (Garry Armstrong).

The American Wigeon was at Glynn outside Larne. (Robert Watts).

A Swallow was seen in Coleraine, first reported one this spring.(John Clarke)

2 Swallow where seen at Lough Shark this afternoon but no sign of the Garganeys.(John Spottiswood)

A White Wagtail and a Med Gull where north of Ballyquinton Point.(Richard Weyl)

A male Brambling was visiting a garden near Hillsborough (Owen Beckett)

Sand Martins, Chiffchaff and Sandwich Terns are now widely reported.

Late report from Wednesday.... a Lesser Whitethroat was coming to garden feeders in Coleraine, see photo below, any comments welcome.
