Bird News Friday 14th October

The Great White Egret was still at Ballycarry this morning along with 16 Little Egrets (Jonathan Cooke, Ian Enlander).

A Spotted Redshank is also present at Ballycarry Bridge, Larne Lough. (Shirley Dunlop, Gerard McGeehan).

A Purple Sandpiper was with Turnstones near Lansdowne Crescent in Portrush. (Juliet Fleming)

The 4 Curlew Sandpipers were still at Ardilea at the mouth of the Blackstaff river in Dundrum Bay, the 1st winter Little Gull was still on the mudflats at Green Island. (David Nixon)
