BIODIVERSITY IN IRELAND
TOWARDS NEW TARGETS AND INDICATORS

The Northern Ireland Biodiversity Group and the Biodiversity Forum for Ireland are holding a conference entitled: "Biodiversity In Ireland: Towards New Targets And Indicators" on 3rd March 2011 in the Everglades Hotel, Derry, County Londonderry.
The event will consider the implications for Ireland, North and South, of outcomes of the Convention on Biological Diversity held at Nagoya, Japan in October 2010 and of the new EU policies, targets and actions expected to be published early in 2011.
Speakers from Europe, Ireland and UK will outline the key changes, and the workshop will consider new key biodiversity targets and indicators to feed into
Ø the review of the Northern Ireland Biodiversity Strategy; and
Ø the implementation of Ireland’s National Biodiversity Plan.
