On this date

Thirty years ago to the day (1.1.1981) was when Northern Ireland had it's first Ross's Gull an adult bird found at Portavogie Co.Down,(what a way to start your year list). There was a little run of them in the 80's but there was no more sightings until 1998. Agruably the best looking of all gull's another one turning up now would certainly be very popular.
