Bird News Tuesday 16th August

The juvenile Wilson's Phalarope was still present at Belfast RSPB reserve. (Guy Hamilton/Ian Graham).

The Hobby was still at the Montiaghs. (Mark Killops\S McKee).

The first summer Ring Billed Gull was at Ballycastle. (Matthew Tickner).

6 Buzzard and a Swift were at Killyleagh Estate and 100 Sand Martins were at the Quoile Pondage. (Spencer Marshall).

4 Raven were seen at Castlewellan viewpoint. (Dot Blakely).

12 Little Egret were at Dundrum Inner Bay South and 120 Common Gull and 23 Grey Heron in the fields at Murlough Farm. (Derek Polley).

4 Common Sandpiper and 100 Curlew were at the Roe Estuary, a Whimbrel was with Godwits at Magilligan with a Kestrel hunting around the Martello tower. (David Hill).
