Bird News Thursday 3rd May

A Long-billed Dowicher was at the south west corner of Lough Beg (Irish Birding)

2 Arctic Tern and 2 Common Tern were back on Cockle Island in Groomsport (George Gordon).

 In Fermanagh a Cuckoo was at Cuilcagh Mountain and 2 White Wagtail at Lower Lough Erne Islands RSPB Reserve (Brad Robson).

 Yesterday evening 20 Wheatear were in fields between Killough and St John's Point. 3 Chiffchaff and a male Blackcap were in Kelly's Wood and 4 Willow Warbler, a Chiffchaff, female Blackcap, 4 Whimbrel and 5 Sandwich Tern at St John's Point (Tim Murphy).

 A Tree Pipit flyover at Deerfin Road just off Belfast/Larne road yesterday.4 Fieldfare near Kells today, plus another at Feystown Road outside Larne. Late news from sunday was 75 Whimbrel and 50 White Wagtails at Reedy Flat (Kerry Leonard)
