Bird News Wednesday 11th January

The Bonapartes Gull was again today at Ballygally (Guy Hamilton)
The Ring-billed Gull was still at Groomsport (Bird Guides)
An Iceland Gull was seen at Kinnegar Shore, Belfast (Paul Scott)
A third winter Kumlien's Gull, 13 Iceland Gull (3 first winter, 4 second winter, 3 third winter and 3 adult) and four Glaucous Gull (3 first winter and a second winter) were at Corbally Dam in Portrush (David Steele).
A first winter Iceland Gull and 7 Red-throated Diver were at Black Head. At Larne Lough a Dark-bellied Brent was with 120 Pale-bellied Brent at Church Bay a mile north of Ballycarry Bridge (Cameron Moore).
Along the Newry Canal were15-20 Golden Plover in adjacent field, 5-7 Bullfinch, a Kingfishe, three Buzzards, two woodcock, hundreds of Redwing and Fieldfare and 27 Whooper Swans
8 Siskin were with Goldfinch, Bullfinch, Goldcrest and Long-tailed Tit at Antrim Road Waterworks in Belfast (Dot Blakely).
