Bird News Sunday 6th March

Yesterday the Spoonbill was at Ann's Point, Strangford Lough (Joe Lamont)

The Glossy Ibis was still at Toome this morning (Ian Graham)

3 Ruff were in a flooded field at Corkey Point west of Ardmore, south shore of Lough Neagh (Garry Armstrong)

A Great Spotted Woodpecker was at Blessingbourne, Fivemiletown, Co Tyrone. (Colin Bell)

The Barnacle Goose, Pink-footed Goose and Greenland Whitefront were with 60 Greylag & 150 Brent Geese at Larne Lough (Gerard McGeehan)

The flock of Twite were still at Whitehead, along with Linnets. (Linda Thompson)

A pair of Gadwall were on Rathlin. Also noted were 2 Choughs and a summer plumaged Red-throated Diver. (Colin Guy)

A Red Kite was seen flying over Church Square Banbridge this afternoon (Karen Elliott)

The Whooper Swan flock was still beside Creightons Green Reservoir, Holywood. Three Black Swans are also with this flock (Julian Greenwood)
