Bird News Sunday 9th April

A Water Pipit was at Drumfad Bay, south of Millisle (Richard Weyl)

A first year Ring-billed Gull was at Kinnegar (Daniel Newton)

Yesterday a Red Kite was seen flying south along the Foyle (Michael Savage)

A possible adult Yellow-legged Gull was reported from Kinnegar Shore.

A 1st winter Iceland Gull was at Killough Harbour. (Tim Murphy)

100-plus hirundines (Swallows and Sand Martins), were at Lough Beg; 81 Whooper Swans were at Creagh Meadows, Toome; 886 Brent Geese, 440 Golden Plover, 172 Redshank, 2 Greenshank were also at Killough Harbour (Chris Murphy, Doris Noe)
