Bird News Friday 14th December

Late news from Tuesday is of a Cattle Egret at a pig farm at St Johnston in Donegal. It was seen again today (Andrew Speer)

Late news from yesterday is of 4 Waxwings feeding on apples in a garden in Whitehead. (Bill McCullough)

8 Waxwings were at Crescent Link in Londonderry. (Wilton Farrelly).

10 Waxwings were at the junction of Beverley Hills and Beverley Drive in Bangor at 12.40p.m. (David McClean).

A raft of 10 Common Scoter were near the entrence to the harbour in Glenarm Bay this afternoon. (Adam McClure).

There were still 26 Waxwing at the junction of Moira Drive and Moira Park in Bangor (Margaret Adamson).       

500 Golden Plover, a Snipe, Little Egret and 5 Greenshank were at Myroe Levels and 10 Waxwing along Seacoast Road. A Peregrine Falcon was at Downhill and 30 Knot at Ballykelly. 100 Sanderling and 300 Golden Plover were at Bann Estuary with 350 Lapwing in the fields (Richard Hoy, Lowell Mills).
