The Ulster Museum has been hosting a series of talks exploring aspects of marine life. Talks are held 1-2pm, in the Ulster Museum Lecture Theatre. For more information please see

Shane Wolsey, British Trust for Ornithology
This summer, video monitors were installed for the first time on Cockle Island, Groomsport which is the summer breeding ground of a significant population of Sandwich, Common and Arctic Terns. Shane Wolsey of the British Trust for Ornithology tells the story of the establishment of a new seabird centre that exposes the intimate activity of a frenetic mixed seabird colony for all to see.

Entry is free and booking is not required but space is limited so please arrive early to avoid disappointment. All are welcome
