Bird News Thursday 13th December

There are now 124 Waxwing at the junction of Moira Drive and Moira Park in Bangor (Margaret Adamson). Also in Bangor 6 Waxwing were at Bloomfield Road South (Dot Blakely).

A Black Swan was at Antrim Road Waterworks in Belfast (Dot Blakely).
6 Waxwing were in a private garden in Atlantic Road Coleraine.(Hill Dick)

10 Waxwings in Perry Park area of Bangor this morning (Stuart McQueen)

6 Waxwing were in a private garden south of Kircubbin (Birdguides)

The Little Gull was on the south Balancing Lake giving good views, as you can see from the excellent photos below.(T .McCreery/N.Austin)

An American Golden Plover was at Burnfoot, near Inch, Donegal. It was a
juvenile in the 1st field on right after EandI Engineering Ltd.

2 Bewick Swan and 3 Brambling were at Lough Shark.(J.Devlin)

20 Grey Plover were in fields surrounding the church at Ballintoy.There was also a lot of cetacean activity along the Balintoy coastline, Bottlenose and possibly whale sp.(J Mckillop)

A Merlin was at Lower Lough Erne islands RSPB reserve today and yesterday there were 2 Greenshank and a Great Northern Diver.(B.Robson)
