Bird News Friday 7th December

Around 20 waxwings were at the Carniny Road, Ballymena, today (Iris Millar)

Waxwings are still hanging around a private garden in Derry, see pictures below. (Christine Cassidy)

A Peregrine was in Groomsport. (Samuel Scott).

 In Lisburn 50 Waxwing were feeding on rowan and cotoneaster at Lagan Valley Hospital. Another 30 Waxwing were at Thornleigh Drive and 3 in a garden at Waverley Drive. Good numbers of Fieldfare and Redwing were also noted (Harold McBride).         

6 Waxwing were at Shetland Drive in Ballymena (Jeff Larkin).         

9 Waxwing and 3 Blackcap were in a garden at Brooklyn Avenue in Bangor. The adult Ring-billed Gull was at Groomsport (George Gordon).
