A Long Eared Owl has been rescued after becoming entangled in fishing line in a tree at NT Glastry Nature Reserve at Ballyhalbert, the owl has been taken into care to recuperate, see pictures below. If you come across discarded fishing line please gather it up and dispose of it safely to help prevent other incidents of this kind, thanks to Fulton Somerville for the details above and the pictures.
The Black-throated Diver was giving close views again inside Groomsport Harbour and the adult Ring-billed Gull was at the car park (George Gordon).
