Bird News Monday 3rd December

The Waxwing flock at the war memorial in Groomsport were giving themselves up this morning,allowing extremely close views.Still plenty of berries for them to feed on so should be in the area for a few days.(A.Gallagher )

4 Waxwing at Sandy Bay, Larne this morning.(N.Warnock)

 The Waxwing flock in Limavady, which numbered up to a hundred birds over the week-end, were down to 19 birds this morning.(C.Colhoun.)

Waxwings are still visiting a private garden in Derry. (Christine Cassidy).

3 Waxwings were in Ballintoy village at 4p.m. this afternoon. (Patrick Barton).

As well as the Waxwings at Groomsport the adult Ring-billed Gull was at the harbour (Bill Bullar).   

3 Purple Sandpiper, 19 Ringed Plover and 25 Turnstone were along Seacliff Road in Bangor (Jim Whitla).
