Bird News Wednesday 13th April

A Great Northern Diver in full summer plumage was just off shore at Holme Bay, Killyleagh in Strangford Lough. (Spencer & Joan Marshall). 

4 Wheatear were at the Belfast Lough RSPB WOW reserve. (Gerard McGeehan). 

There was no sign of the Osprey at Corbet Lake, Banbridge, up to 1300 hrs today, but 1 Red Kite and 4 Buzzards were present, plus increasing numbers of Swallow, House Martin and Sand Martin. (David McCready).

A Common Sandpiper was feeding on seaweed at Ballycastle beach. (Colin Guy).

Whitehead had 2 Wheatear, 1 Common Sandpiper and 7 Sandwich Tern this morning. (Ian Enlander).
