Bird News Monday 27th December

A 1st winter male Goosander and a male Brambling were at Reedy Flats, Lough Neagh.
A Waxwing was seen at Cabin Hill Gardens, Belfast
20/30 Waxwings were at Leg Park beside the Model School in Carrickfergus (Cameron Moore)
6 Waxwings were along the avenue beside the golf club also in Carrickfergus (Edward Sterling)
4 Waxwing were in Larne (Bertie Spence)
2 Brambling and 2 Blackcaps were in a garden at Ballyholme in Bangor.
4 Brambling, 2 Tree Sparrows, 2 Fieldfares and a Mistle Thrush were in a garden outside Downpatrick and at Killard there were 21 Woodcock, (down from 72 yesterday), 2 Grey Plover, 16 Ringed Plover, 60+ Dunlin, 80 Turnstone, and 5 Purple Sandpiper. (Craig Nash).
There were 5 Longtailed Ducks, 2 male and 3 female at Fishermens Quay, Carrickfergus.
