18th December 1955 was the surprising late date that the first
Greater Yellowlegs was seen in Northern Ireland. Found at Downpatrick Marshes Co.Down. Since that date there have been another 4 records. The last record was a well watched individual which turned up at the Quiole Pondage Co.Down in 2004 and it stayed from the 24th May until the 15th June.
