Two pictures taken recently in Co.Antrim. A beautiful protrait of an Irish Hare taken by Ian Dickey and a rather cute image of an Irish Stoat, which we all know is anything but cute!!
I think it's worth pointing out that Irish Hare is a subspecies of Mountain Hare Lepus timidus whereas an "English Hare" is actually the Brown Hare / European Hare Lepus europeaus. European Hares have a very wide distribution across Europe and Asia and are often split into various species / sub-species and is probably introduced to GB. per B. Robson
