This is an old medicinal plant associated with Early Christian Monastic Sites. It was used to cure warts, ringworm, and many other horrid complaints in the Middle Ages. Today the Russians are testing it as a possible cancer cure. I have found it at 6 locations in my area, all associated with ancient ecclesiastic sites.
