Bird News Sunday 16th May

 At least two Cuckoos and several Whinchats were in the Antrim hills today. (Michael Latham).

We have received a second hand report of a Crane being seen yesterday at The Argory National Trust Property along the River Blackwater. 

A Cuckoo was calling tonight from the lower slopes of Slieve Croob facing Drumkeeragh forest. (Terry Hanna).

The male Ring-necked Duck and Great White Egret both seen again at the south end of Lough Beg this evening. A White Wagtail and a Cuckoo were at Mullagh. There was no sign of any Ospreys today (David Steele).
