Bird News Sunday 2nd May

A Short-eared Owl was north of Templecowey. A Long-tailed Duck was at Portavogie. (Richard Weyl)

2 Cuckoo where at Banagher Glen.(Marian O'Hara)

The adult and juv Dark-belied Brents still in Killough this morning with 28 Light-bellied.(Chris Murphy)

A Ruff and Arctic Tern where at the RSPB WoW reserve.(Garry Armstrong)

A White-tailed Eagle was seen at Peatlands Park.(Comghal McQuillan)  

Another White-tailed Eagle was on Rathlin.(Gareth Platt)

A Curlew Sandpiper was at Kinnegar Shore (Wilton Farrelly)

A Dark-bellied Brent was at Kinnegar this afternoon and is a different bird to yesterday’s (Stuart McKee)

2 Grasshopper Warblers, a Tree Sparrow and 56 Whimbrel were at the Barmouth. (Theo Campbell).

A male Garganey was at the south end of Lough Beg this afternoon, also present were the Great White Egret, 3 male Ruff and 20 White Wagtail. (David Steele).
