Bird News Friday 24th September


2 Pectoral Sandpiper have been found at Portmore Lough reserve, a White Wagtail was also present.(Michael Latham)

The juvenile Little Ringed Plover was still at Myroe this morning, 2 Curlew Sandpiper, 2 Grey Plover and a Little Stint were also present. (Garry Armstrong)

4 Great Skua and 2 Red Throated Diver were off Ramore Head at lunchtime (S Riddell)

Between 11.30 and 2pm, Ramore Head had 10 Great Skuas, 4 Arctic Skua, 5 Golden Plover and 2 Red-throated Diver, a continued sea-watch between 4pm-5.15pm produced 10 Great Skua, 3 Arctic and 1 Pom. Skua.  (Gerard McGeehan / Shirley Dunlop)

A Med Gull was  at Groomsport.(Derek Polley)
