Bird News Tuesday 28th September

At least one of the Pectoral Sandpipers was still at Portmore Lough (Michael Latham)

The Little-ringed Plover at Myroe, again near the pallets on the Roe side of the site. (Just for caution, 2 juvenile Ringed Plovers were there as well). , 2 adult Mediterranean Gulls were in the fields with a large flock of gulls, and another was off shore. Ballykelly shore also had 2 Mediterranean Gulls, 1 adult and 1 2nd Winter, as well as 2 Pink-footed Geese. Around 1000 Golden Plovers were in a field not far up the track.
