Bird News Saturday 25th September

The 2 Pectoral Sandpipers were still at Portmore Lough RSPB this morning. 2 Wheatears were also present. (Ed O'Hara). The 2 Pectoral Sandpipers were still present this afternoon. (Nigel Moore, Ade Fox, Richard Caves).

The Bonaparte's Gull is on Kinnegar shore again this morning. 8 Ruff and 2 Knot were at Belfast Lough RSPB WoW this morning.  (Garry Armstrong).

The Spotted Flycatcher was still in bushes at the Discovery Centre at Oxford Island. (Ed O'Hara).

6 Red Kites were at Ballyward, also two Stock Doves and a White Wagtail. A further 5 White Wagtails, 2 Wheatears and an adult Med Gull were at Kilhorne Bay, Annalong. (Richard Gray)

A White-tailed Eagle is at Douglas Bridge, Co Tyrone (Roslyn Kee).

2 Ruff were on exposed mud at Rea's Wood on the north shore of Lough Neagh. (Stuart McKee),
