Bird News Tuesday 6th September

The Black Tern was at Killough Harbour again this morning (David Stirling)

The Black Tern was also at the Bann Estuary this morning, a juvenile Little Gull was also present (Stephen Riddell)

A Curlew Sandpiper was at the Floodgates, Ards this morning. Also 2 Wheatear and over 400 Brent off shore. (Ian Young)

At Seagahan Reservoir this morning were the Little Ringed Plover, a juvenile Ruff and a Green Sandpiper. (David Knight). Two Common Sandpiper were also seen there this afternoon (Gerard McGeehan / Shirley Dunlop) 

The Black Tern was still in Kinnegoe Bay at Oxford Island. (Ed O'Hara, David McCreedy).

This morning a Spotted Redshank and two Curlew Sandpiper were at the mouth of the Blackstaff River, Dundrum Inner Bay North (Dan Baillie)

7 Ruff were seen in flight at Oxford Island (Gerard McGeehan / Shirley Dunlop)

An adult Glaucous Gull was seen in flight over the Sandyknowes Roundabout, Glengormley this afternoon at 3pm. (David Morrow)

The best at RSPB WoW this evening was 2 Curlew Sandpiper and 7 Ruff. The single Ruff remains at Kinnegar Lagoon (Wilton Farrelly)

A Glossy Ibis was at Mullagh this afternoon, also three Black Terns still present and at least 15 Ruff in the area. A Garganey was in the southwest corner of Lough Beg (David Steele)
