Bird News Friday 14th October

A Mediterranean Gull was at Carrickfergus and two Long-tailed Duck were at Hazelbank, Whiteabbey (Irish Birding)
At the Bann Esturary was an adult Little Gull. A Snow Bunting was at Magilligan Point and 3 Twite at Ballintoy (Neal Warnock) 
38,000 Pale-bellied Brent were back in Strangford Lough - a quarter of them at the top end were juveniles (Kerry Mackie).
A Greenland Wheatear was at Killough and last night Redwing were passing over at 11pm (Chris Murphy).
9 Little Egret were on the Comber Estuary (Paul Scott)
Redwings are migrating through NI at present. 15 were seen at Forestside this morning (Dermot Hughes)
A Barn Owl was seen in flight between Portadown and Armagh (Fulton Somerville)
