For the last few weeks, Whooper Swans have been returning to Ireland. Birds can be seen migrating, even over our towns and cities. The main sites to look for these birds include the Foyle (e.g. Longfield, Faughanvale, Ballykelly and Myroe), Lough Beg (particularly around Toome) and upper Lough Erne. Many thanks to David Hill for the pictures below, who had 400 birds today at the Faughan Bridge, near Campsie.
