Bird News Saturday 1st October

A Red Breasted Flycatcher was at Ramore Head in Portrush, it was on rocks in the bay by the childrens play park to the east of the seawatching point. (Matthew Tickner/Dennis Weir).

The adult American Golden Plover was still at Kirkiston, it was with 100 Golden Plover, also present were a Merlin, 2 Ruff, a Snipe and 100 Skylark. 2 Wheatear were at Kearney Point. (James Robinson/Richard Weyl).

The juvenile Pectoral Sandpiper and a Spotted Redshank were in the channel at Myroe.

An adult Mediterranean Gull was at Myroe and 300 Golden Plover were on the mudflats. (Stuart McKee).

A Greenland Wheatear and 300 Pale Bellied Brent were at Faughanvale, Lough Foyle. (Stephen Davis).

2 Jay were at Circular Road in Belfast. (Stephen Maxwell).

3 Wheatear were at Bar Hall Bay in Strangford Narrows. (Derek Polley).

Yesterday an adult Mediterranean Gull was at Killough Harbour. (Tim Murphy).
