Bird News Saturday 5th November

The White-rumped Sandpiper was still in the flooded field opposite the Tready hide at Inch in Donegal. (Martin Deehan).

The Marsh Harrier, ringtail Hen Harrier, a Peregrine and a Merlin were at Portmore Lough RSPB reserve this morning. (Richard Hunter, Kenny Moore).

Good numbers of mainly female Crossbills were in Woodburn Forest. (George Stewart).

Around 20 Twite were still at Magheracross viewing area near Dunluce Castle. (John Clarke)

The Snow Bunting and 3 Twite were at Whitehead boatyard. The 2 Great White Egrets were still at Ballycarry Bridge. (Michael Latham). 

The Turtle Dove is still visiting a garden in Lisburn. (Per Garry Wilkinson).

A Marsh Harrier was at Oxford Island at lunchtime (Adam McClure)
