Bird News Wednesday 9th November

 The Turtle Dove in Lisburn was seen this morning just before 8am. (Daniel Newton). The bird was still present this afternoon. (Tony Dodds).

20+ Twite were still at Maghercross near Dunluce Castle and a possible Hen Harrier was in fields opposite. A Long-tailed Duck was at the far end of Runkerry beach. (Jonny Rosborough).

29 Purple Sandpipers and at least 12 Mediterranean Gulls were between Ballyholme and Orlock. (Dermot Hughes).

2 Whooper Swans were at Belfast Lough RSPB before flying off this afternoon. (Stephen Maxwell).

10 Twite were around the boatyard at Whitehead. (Alastair McLean).

A Black Redstart was at Sandy Bay in Larne. (Lilian Ferguson).
