Bird News Monday 6th March

Two Waxwing remain at Ward Park, Bangor (Alastair McLean).

The Ring-billed Gull again at the Round O jetty at Enniskillen (Brad Robson).

The drake Smew remains at Gawley’s Gate, Lough Neagh albeit distant (Juliet Fleming).

Red Grouse and a flock of 30 Fieldfare in the Antrim Hills (Thomas Campbell).

A Great Spotted Woodpecker in an Aldergrove garden this morning (Nigel Moore).

The Green-winged Teal is still at Glynn (John McLean).

The Spotted Redshank remains at Ballycarry Bridge (Cameron Moore).

A sinensis Cormorant was in the Lough Beg roost this evening, likely to be the same bird seen recently. Also a Spotted Redshank (David Steele).
