Bird News Tuesday 7th March

Yesterday a second year White-tailed Eagle was seen at Church Bay, Rathlin.

Drake Smew still behind the Gate Inn, Lough Neagh this morning (Kevin Kirkham).

Three Waxwings remain behind Carnegie Library in Ward Park, Bangor.

On a WeBS count today Millin Bay had two adult Mediterranean Gulls, at the headland near Millin Hill there was a Jack Snipe and a high count of 19 Grey Plover at Ballyquintin Point (Ian Enlander).

The Green-winged Teal remains at Glynn as well as two Mediterranean Gulls. Also Whimbrel and Mediterranean Gull at Portmuck and the Black Redstart is still at Whitehead (Shirley Dunlop / Gerard McGeehan).
