Bird News Friday 5th November

A White-tailed Eagle was at Lower Lough Erne Islands RSPB Reserve yesterday. The bird has a green wing-tag (Brad Robson).

The juvenile male Hen Harrier was still hunting over the beet fields at St John's Point this morning between 07.30 and 08.30. (Chris Murphy).

The Snow Bunting was still around the bowling green at Ramore Head in Portrush, circa 50 Twite were at the Lansdowne Road end. (Juliet Fleming).

A flock of 70 Whooper Swans were in fields off the Newtownards-Comber dual carriageway. (Jeff Silvers/Ian McKee).

The hybrid American x Eurasian Wigeon was at the south end of Lough Beg again, also present were the female Ring-necked Duck, Cattle Egret and two Great White Egrets. (David Steele).
