Bird News Sunday 14th November

An adult Little Gull was at Rhanbuoy Park in Carrickfergus. (Wilton Farrelly).

A Long-tailed Duck was off Croaghan hide at Oxford Island (Garry Armstrong).

The Spotted Redshank was again at Dargan. (Shirley Dunlop, Gerard McGeehan).

Both Great White Egrets are still present on Larne Lough this afternoon. (Linda Thompson).

The Marsh Harrier was still at Portmore Lough RSPB. (Michael Latham).

Two Scaup, male anf female, were inland at Drumgay Lough, Enniskillen, this afternoon. (Brad Robson).

A Great Northern Diver was off the boathouse at Helen's Bay. (Dot Blakeley).

Circa 180 Whooper Swans were still feeding on potatoes in Ardglass, some visible from junction of Crew Road and Downpatrick Road, roosting on Strand Lough, Killough; also c. 170 Greylags in the area; c. 1500 Common Scoter, 2 Eider, 60 Red-throated Diver, 7 Great Northern Diver, were at Tyrella, Dundrum Bay with 800 Golden Plover and 30 Twite onTyrella shore. (Chris Murphy).
